Return to mild weather
« on: 10/11/2011 at 21:13 »
The last couple of days have seen quite a return to milder weather, with temps in the low double figures ....... and this really seems to have given the lake a wake up call

Plenty of surface activity again today, mainly nymphing, but there were also a lot of splashy, determined rises and the fish appeared to be feeding hard ..... and were in the mood to chase :z3

"Catman" Alex had great fun today! :wink

Best wishes
Mike

Re Alex: ....... the lake a wake up call

Nice one Alex :z4
Should I have said "the fish", or is "the lake" wrong? I have never made up my mind if I should write lake or loch ..... I tend to say loch because we are in Scotland, but the fishery is actually based on Keithfield Lake.

Best wishes

When I first learned to fly fish on Keithfield in the early 80's it was described as a "Victorian, man-made boating lake" and therefore not a Loch in the "true" sense of the word...

Who cares...it's "Haddo" now - nuff said!  :grin
