Title: Free/cheap trout fishing around Dundee tayside

Hello Folks,

I have just moved to Dundee from N.Ireland and I was wondering if there is any free or cheap fishing in any rivers or lochs in or around dundee area I do drive so that is no issue.

I just want to get a start in the Scotland trout fishing

I have been told that there can be some highland lochs that you could go and fish and nobody would say a word to you but don't want to step on anybodys feet so though I would try an get an idea here.

If anybody could point me in the direction of anything that would be great.

Strathmore or Canmore ticket from Angus Angling in Forfar, very cheap and good value.
Monikie Angling Club, see their website for details.
Arbroath Angling club ticket for the Lunan, again speak to Angus Angling.
A bit further afield there’s Birnam & Dunkeld AC on the Tay system.
