Can anyone tell me where I can get some casting lessons over the next couple of weeks? As I work offshore on an ad-hoc basis I can not book it too far ahead, so something at short notice would be preferable. :z16

Yes, try Ben Dixon (Ben_D) on this site...Orvis Guide and qualified instructor..stays in Kintore. Either get him at the shop in banchory or send a PM. He is at Scone just now for the Gamefair so uncontactable, unless you are going down, then pop into the Orvis casting tent and have a word.
Nice chap, not too good at catching Brownies though ;)... :z4 :z4

Ben is excellent, but he is at the game fair all weekend, so dont expect a response until early next week.
I met up with him today, and he was demoing a very nice new helios salmon rod. I have to say it was so light that i have booked a session with it, and will report back in time.
