One lightly used Orvis Helios 'Spey' 15ft 4 piece #10wt up for sale.
As far as I know, it's the
only one currently available second hand in the UK.....
Most of us know the reputation of the Helios range of rods and this 15 footer is no exception to the rule, it's hugely capable and very light indeed.
Build quality is
exceptionally good (even by my geek-like standards
) and the tube it comes in is a work of art.
It works well with AFS heads (9/10), a 600 grain Skagit, a Carron Pro-line (amongst other Carron lines) and more recently a MacKenzie 42gram shooting head have been tried on it.
Casts them all very well, just as Orvis intended - a very good all-rounder. More on the Orvis website:
