A day out.
« on: 27/06/2010 at 00:54 »
I been noticing for a while now that we have a lot of regular posters here that I have yet to meet. Some relatively new and some that have been here prob a lot longer than me.
Between us I reckon we have a wealth of experience with the local fly fishing and also a lot of beginners to the sport.
So how about a forum day out?

A day to fish with a few guys who you can maybe help a bit and also learn from.
For example a day where we book haddo
for ourselves, book a beat of The Don etc.

What ye think?

Maybe a certain mod of ours would do a guest appearance straight from Brunei!!!!!?

Noel.

Sounds like a plan Noel. I could stick the barbecue in the boot and folks (that were not driving) could bring a long few beers.

This is an excellent idea and i'd be more than happy to learn even more from you guys. It's all very well listening to some advice, but to see it in action is a different thing!!

.... I'd need a lift though  :z16

Looking like a good crowd coming out for the day which is excellent :z16 There have been a few suggestions for the day including
A possible demo from one of our casting gurus
A few hours in the morning casting on grass with a fun competition thrown in?
What do you guys think?
Its our day out so if anyone has suggestions for something they would like to do lets hear it.

I would like to suggest for the fishing part of the day that we swop boat partners a few times. That way we would get to fish with a few different folk, exchange tips, favourite patterns etc.
Any others?
