Post by: GARYBOY on 07/09/2009 at 20:15
Hi all
while fishing yesterday at Tullich ,i noticed my fly line all tangeled up at end
after closer inspection i noticed the last (or is it first ) ring of my rod missing right at the end of rod  :mad
is it possible to get this replaced and if so where :?
Dont knowmake of rod as it came with a years subscription to  Total Flyfishing

Is it the tip ring?  I think Bill Bain & Somers in Aberdeen carry spare rings, fit it on with epoxy or, PM Rob, he may have something lying around.

Garry

I left a whole heap of tips with Mike and some hot melt glue.
There are a few sizes so ask him nicely and you may find one that fits. if you use hot melt glue it will stay on but allow you a bit of freedom whilst fitting
and be easy to replace again (if necessary) it also cures in seconds so you can fish again almost straight away :z16
