Not sure if any of the long distance Don fishers have stopped here but the Forbes Arms has re-opened.

Think I spied draught beer on tap :z18

Might be worth a call if looking for somewhere to stop, details are

..didn't know it had closed! Is it under new ownership then. I take it that it has had a facelift if it closed it's doors to business?

Dont know I have not been in it was closed for at least a year, it is under new ownership.

Good to hear! We stayed there a couple of years ago and really liked the place.
I hope they still have steak with bacon and stilton on the menu, 'cause that was the best after fishing meal we've ever had!
