Title: Experimenting with Octopi
Post by: Robert MacDonald-Lewis on 07/04/2023 at 06:56
Not sure I have the correct plural, my spelling is a disaster at the best of time in any case. Anyway, I have been trying my hand at Octopus Style wets, not a style I have really used with real intent before, but they look fishy and should move well.

They look great. Do you wind the mallard as a hackle or tie it in as a cloak like a dabbler?

Cheers guys. On these flies I have tied the mallard in as a hackle, by the tip and typically wound 2 or 3 turns of each.
