 hi chaps
going back to an old post i made , i have got hold of an original orvis western 10' #7 wait rod,i have sins be told that it is rely at its best as a boat rod, is this true or is it just as much at home on the bank as it is in a boat. :?

Fine enough from the bank, with the right line. To be honest, same can be said of most rods.......
Folk get 'hung up' on length 'issues', although it would be fair to say (IMHO) that the 10ft Westerns were primarily designed for boat fishing it'll be fine from the bank.

Also useful for river sea trout or in the salt for mackeral and mullet :)
