Saw this on another site today, caught this month I believe, but I couldn't get more info as it was in Slovak.

Nice fish!

You are all wrong chaps.

This Pike is Italian!

Pike and Predators magazine did an article on this chap, Maurizo Rossini. He has had some HUGE Pike, and thats not the biggest in that photo (24kg)..all from float tubes, but on Jerkbaits (Salmo Sliders mostly)

It is most certainly not a Photoshopped fish, there is video of this fish and others.

He has become a bit of a legend with the European Pikers.

What is interesting is that the waters he fishes are commercially fished for Pike and generally classed as poor waters. He finds these fish in backwaters and hard to access areas, mainly in the spring...hence the float tube. I guess they live in these areas. well away from the fishermen.

The other thing worth noting is that this particular fish is a hybrid between a Northern Pike as we would know it, and a sub species unique to Tuscany..where this fish is from.
