Natural Flies Of The River Don

I have just finished a new page on the website, written by Sandy  :z16

This should prove a really useful addition, a guide that will certainly help to catch a few fish  >)

You can read it here https://www.fishingthefly.co.uk/river-don-natural-flies.html

Awesome job on converting it to web spiel, dude
I’m really pleased, cheers :z18

Hopefully it will come in handy on the phone while fishing, or at home when comparing photos.
I hope you all like it

Cheers

Mike, Sandy,

This is outstanding and will be a superb piece of reference material for anyone river fishing anywhere in the country let alone the Don.

All the best,

Eddie

Cheers Eddie :z18

I take loads of photos of the insects so thought I’d finally turn them into something useful for everyone.  I had to go and turn over a few stones to get the nymphs pics to finish it off, but that was almost as much fun as going fishing  *smiley-tongue-out*

This is stage 1 of my winter project, you will see a recurring reference in the ID Guide that hints at what stage 2 is going to be  :z16

Thanks James, really pleased that you like it  :z16

Maybe you ( or any forum member ) might have some ideas up your sleeve, and would like to put together a similar guide to fishing Highland Lochs?

Cheers

I'll get my thinking cap on. Most of the lochs I fish have very little visible fly life. The exceptions I can think of are Ruthven ( BIG mayflies) and Loch Park ( lots and lots of flylife)

It was just a thought James,

What I'm saying is that if anybody else fancies writing articles, or guides about any topic, I will do my best to help to convert it into 'website speak' and publish it for you.

Cheers
Mike
