Gairloch angling club has had its local river taken back by the new estate owner , he has said that club members can have limited access at the estates discretion so some consolation, at the same time Letterewe Estate ( of late Dutchman fame) has decide that we cant have a club boat on the Fionn Loch this year, it definitely gives a feeling of being got at
its a pity that these estates are not part of the national heritage ,and able to be enjoyed by all, we are only a small local club , like most clubs, constituted as a benevolent society, so we only have money season to season for our boats etc.
it would seem that we are at the mercy of the landowners who now want to make money from the fishings, ???
