Title: Best Coffee Beans?
Post by: Mike Barrio on 01/12/2017 at 09:42
OK, so I've asked Santa for a bean to cup coffee machine for Christmas ...... I've got a Tassimo machine at the moment, but must confess that I don't like using it because of all the plastic pods :z6

So ..... which coffee beans are the best guys? I'm really looking forward to trying out all the different types.

Cheers
Mike

Well you need to go here https://www.macbeans.com/ and you must have some of this https://www.macbeans.com/store/p43/Blue_Sumatra.html and some of this https://www.macbeans.com/store/p68/Cuba_Serrano_Superior.html
and then you need to invite me round for coffee  :z16

When you get your "Macbeans" you need a proper machine. I had a Tassimo and then a Nespresso. Now I have a De Longhi bean to cup machine which is in a different league altogether.
And the waste goes on the compost heap.

Due to my coffee consumption I can see me going down the route of a 'bean to cup' machine - in the January sales maybe  :z16
Right now I have Tassimo discs by the score.....  :shock

Lidl does single source coffee I was drinking Ethiopean Sidamo last week , I did try Yergacheff , another Ethiopean coffee, very nice , but any of the Arabica beans should be nice,  but look for first crop Beans from small producers, or you could try the Civet cat Crap beans , they are quite expensive, I haven't gone down that road yet, Amazon do have a big Selection,  Derek Roxborough

How's the bean to cup machine working out Mike?

Are there advantages over an espresso machine with a frother?

Really pleased with it Derek ..... but not been using it a lot so far, as I've been having fun with the Flu over the festive period and my sense of taste is currently pretty much non existent :z6
