I don't do much salmon fishing these days but as I have a trip planned...

I also found some un-usual shaped tubes that I laid my hands on ages ago....

James,

Those will do the business assuming you can come across a springer or two. When are you going out for a cast?

Sounds good James,

I have the first two days on the Dee followed by a Feb day on the North Esk and six days in March between the Dee and the North Esk.

So far *smiley-tongue-out*

Tight lines,

Eddie

I used to salmon fish a fair bit on the Don, but with falling numbers it was less and less fun

When I moved up here i started spending more and more time chasing trout and less and less time after salmon.

This year I plan to take out a season permit for the Nairn ( 5 mins from the house) - although i have far more success with sea trout on the river than I do with salmon !
