CDC Collar Wets
« on: 31/10/2023 at 11:57 »
Not that I have a tying season as such; not enough fishing means I do more tying than I need to. But I will try to post some flies more regularly on here over the winter.

Recently, I experimented with adding a collar of CDC behind hen hackles on a couple of wets. Take a bit of inspiration from Sandy's CDC Spiders and the use of CDC on nymphs. The CDC on these wets should add a nice movement and a slight cloaking effect over the body.

Nicely tied Robert  :)

Quite bright, where would you fish those? Lochs for Brownies?

Thanks Mike,

Yeah, they were tied with lochs in mind. I think the olive one will do well on Machair lochs and similar sandy or marl waters.
