Settling weather

Interesting to watch as the weather has slowly settled a bit this week that the fish have also settled down. The fishing appears to have improved and although dry fly sport is not quite what we would expect for this time of year, nymphing just below the surface is proving productive. Emergers, F-flies and Klinks in the surface, rather than "high and dry" have also been a good choice :wink

I suspect the river might be back on form too? :z3

Cheers

I was fishing Lochters on Thursday evening and the water was 18 degrees at 8am in the morning so i'm guessing it was either that temperature or more in the evening.

The fish were acting weird. There were 2 gulping for air at the surface, swimming slowly at the bank and a further 2 swimming in circles (from the bottom of the pond to the top). I'm guessing this is because of the heat and lack of oxygen in the water?

Anyways the fishing wasn't great and only caught 1 (3lbs).
