Just so Mr B, the film (unfortunately) isn't quite the political satire the book is (it's worth reading) and despite the strong cast unfortunately ends up being something of an also ran romantic comedy....but what do you expect when you send a decent novel to a scriptwriter and tell him it's a British comedy
In angling terms there's no denying it's dire, "A River Runs Through It" has still to be beaten in terms of half decent fly fishing getting featured in mainstream (no pun intended) cinema.
It's still better than that bloody awful docu-movie about Megan Boyd "Kiss the water". Kiss my arse more like.... I wouldn't watch that again unless I was paid
