Title: Egg flies on the Dee

So, with another report of "Pinks" in the Dee, is it time to try some new patterns?

Seems that the name also denotes the favourite colour for flies, with fluro pink being extremely popular.

Maybe, just maybe, the beats should open up one Sunday and have anglers fishing with only Pink flies to see if we can get a true understanding of the numbers of Pink salmon in the river.  Seems that Atlantic Salmon flies are not really taken by Pinks that freely as they are not bright or gaudy enough. A change to Christmas decorations and barby doll flies might produce more Pinks.
