Seamus

Haddo is not that far, 1/2 an hour, Lochter at Oldmeldrum, much the same. avoid the rush hour though.

You could always try Logie trout fishery between Portlethen and Stonehaven.

Although must admit i do have a preference towards Haddo and Lochter.

cheers,

Danny

I would wait and see what ice conditions are.

Hi Seamus :z16

No, sorry, overnight parking is not an option.

Access to Haddo with the motorhome might also prove a problem over the next couple of months, due to the building work at the entrance.

Best wishes
Mike

If you are looking for overnight parking at a fishery then you could try Loch Incsh, they have an area for caravans and motorhomes. I think they also have electric hook ups.

The quality of the fishing has been discussed previously with the weed being the main problem but with the colder months that might not be such a big issue.

I'm not sure what the fish stocking density will be like as the fishery does not seem as popular as it once was, there will be fish but perhaps a bit more challenging. You will be approx 45 mins from Haddo and 30 from Lochter.

If you choose here I will be happy to share a boat and pick you up for day at a weekend.

In good conditions and avoiding peak traffic you will be approx 45 - 60 mins from Forresterhil (A96/90 all the way in).

Kev

I had heard things had improved after they bought a new weed cutter.

You could try Reamoir, just outside Banchory.

You can try Corby Loch just passed Bridge of Don, one of my favourites.
Can be quite a challenge in the colder months as its very shallow and you'll need your waders, it's also a good idea to take a boat but not necessary, I can send you directions if need be.
Actually if you wanna go I'll easy book a day off work and show you I havent been for a while.
