THE COLQUHONNIE HOTEL
Set in the rolling foothills of the Cairngorm Mountains, the two hundred year old Colquhonnie Hotel overlooks the Aberdeenshire Don valley.

The hotel has been refurbished by owners Paul MacLennan and David Knight and offers seven en-suite rooms and a family suite of two rooms sharing their own private bathroom.

CASTLE FORBES
Castle Forbes is set on a magnificent site at the heart of the 6000 acre Forbes Estate. The castle was built in 1815 as a family home and overlooks the River Don.

The family home is today occupied by Malcolm (The Master of Forbes) and his wife Jinny. They offer a warm welcome for guests to stay in a castle which is still occupied by the family whose name it bears.

Please note that Castle Forbes is not a hotel, you will be looked after personally by your host and hostess.

THE KILDRUMMY INN
The Kildrummy Inn is a popular choice with anglers when looking for accommodation on Upper Donside.

Your hosts Darren and Sylvia Gimber have four new en-suite rooms to offer, a lounge bar, a residents lounge and three dining areas including an a la carte restaurant. They have an area for tackle, rods, waders etc with a freezer for your fish, heaters for drying and they provide anglers with packed lunches and fill flasks for free ……….. Not hip flasks though!

THE COMMERCIAL HOTEL
The Commercial Hotel is a privately owned 18th century former coaching inn, located in the picturesque square at the centre of Tarland, near Aboyne. Nestling between the Dee and the Don in the Howe of Cromar, Tarland is a great location for a relaxing break on Royal Deeside.

MILL CROFT COTTAGE ( self catering )
Looking for a self catering holiday cottage in Aberdeenshire? Mill Croft Cottage is an excellent location from which to base your fishing holiday.

The 3 bedroomed cottage sleeps up to 6 people and is adjacent to the Mill of Elrick Trout Fishery. Your hosts are the fishery owners, Dave & Donna Basford.

This cottage is a great base from which to explore the rainbow trout fisheries listed on this website and is also within a reasonable distance of the rivers Ythan, Deveron, Don and Dee.

BROADSEA  ( Bed & breakfast )
Located 5 miles from Inverurie, this family run farm of some 200 acres offers accommodation of a high standard, along with a warm welcome.
Broadsea is set in scenic farmland between Inverurie and the hill of Bennachie,  the hill being very popular with walkers.
The location is good for anglers in that it is only a short distance by car from the River Don, upstream of Inverurie. It is also an excellent base from which to explore most of the rainbow trout fisheries listed on this website.
