The Manar Fishings extend to approximately 1.6 miles of left bank fishing on the River Don, directly above the Inverurie Burgh Fishings. The beat starts at the point where the Hervie Burn joins the Don and ends where the Polinar Burn joins the river.

There are eight named pools and a good variety of water to fish. You will find nice open water that allows easy casting, and a wooded stretch which will make you watch your back cast but it holds some nice trout.

This is good water for brown trout, sea trout and salmon.

It is also worth noting that a number of anglers have voiced concern regarding encounters with "large dogs" in the vicinity of the parking area!
