Loch Insch fishery

Loch Insch is one of the most popular fisheries in the area. The fishing is excellent, with hard fighting rainbows, a scenic location, and four lochs plus a junior pond to try your luck on.

The lochs cover 14 acres and are similarly stocked with selected rainbow trout, the minimum size of which is 2lbs for the medium sized fish, with the top fish being in the 8 lbs - 20 lbs range

The fishery opened in May 1994 with just the one loch and since then many changes and additions have been made, earning it the reputation as one of the premier stillwater fisheries in Scotland

Make sure you have buzzers in your fly box as they work well on all the lochs. But don't worry if you haven't got any, as you will find a good selection of flies and fishing tackle for sale in the hut.
