Fishing The Fly Scotland Forum

The past week has seen variable weather conditions with bright sunshine, rain showers and more persistent rainfall accompanied by North/North Easterly winds. Altogether this made for ore difficult fishing conditions and anglers were forced to change their tactics as the weather varied. Dry fly activity diminished some this week although still producing good returns on the Daddy. Some more immediate sub surface presentations included Diawl Bach, Spiders and Buzzers emerged as the preferred options. The best recorded catches this week fell to; A Cowie, Fraserburgh, 31 fish, (diawl bach, crunchers, dry fly), A Murray, Gardenstown, 10 fish, (black fritz, budgie), A Ross, Fraserburgh, 8 fish, (daddy, buzzers), G Murison, Fraserburgh, 7 fish, (diawl bach, buzzers), K Fraser, Greeness, 7 fish, (black lure, buzzers), B Burnett, Turriff, 7 fish, (dry fly, buzzers), N Thomson, Turriff, 7 fish, (red buzzers), J Mackay, Macduff, 6 fish, (white fritz).
