Fishing The Fly Scotland Forum

The past week has produced some remarkable catches with the mornings being particularly productive. The weather remained settled with reasonable air and water temperatures and the absence of wind conditions. The fish were very active in the top of the water column with black buzzers being very fruitful and in the deeper regions, green/white lures and pink/orange blobs were quite actively attacked. D Standford on holiday from East Yorkshire renewed his acquaintance with the water where he fished while he stayed in Peterhead, his total bag for the week was 80 fish all caught on black buzzers. Creditable catches for the week fell to; A Cowie, Fraserburgh, 39 fish, (pink/orange blob), A Murray, Gardenstown, 36 fish, (green/white lure), N Thomson, Turriff, 28 fish, (buzzers), G Littler, Newmachar, 13 fish, (black buzzers), B Gibb, King Edward, 11 fish, (buzzers/blob), D Low, Aberdeen, 8 fish, (black buzzers).
