Peterhead pier fishing times

Hi folks. Can anyone tell me when the pier is open at Peterhead. I went up last Saturday but it was closed. Is it only a Sunday its open please ???

As far as I am aware, it only closes in bad weather (especially a swell running) or if there are shipping operations on the go, otherwise its open.

If the main pier is closed, you can normally still fish the inner pier, which last time I went, was full of Pollock to about 3 lbs.

Inner pier is called Albert Quay and is on the North side of the harbor. You can fish back towards the shore but you have deep water under your feet and its sheltered. Great fun with a pike rod, float and strips of fish :)
