Session 1 – 9.30 a.m. – Noon
Casting Tuition on grass. Basic casting technique (Angular Class), Backhand cast, Slowed Down Angular Cast, Totally, Under the Tip cast
Session 2 – 1.00 p.m. To 3.30 p.m.
Casting on the river. Masterclass on how to use the above casts and other casts. Fine tuning the basic cast and introduction to getting a drag free drift. Presentation of certificates
Session 3 (Optional) late afternoon
Fishing on the River Annan.
Cost £35.00 (includes use of the river for demonstration and evening fishing)

The Italian Style
Many folk think that the Italian Style is all about getting under the bushes, it certainly includes that, but the main intent is to ensure that the fly lands on the water first and drifts with little or no drag. It also seeks to get the fly into difficult to fish places, including across rapid water, into pockets and under overhanging bushes. So the style introduces some very handy fishing casts.
