Just got back from the FFM Italian casting event at Hoddom Castle on the river Annan in Scotland ......... Great weekend, I really enjoyed it

and I caught three nice sea trout last night too

Yes it was a fantastic weekend. Events like this take a bit of organising and this one was extremely well run, friendly and great fun ....... thanks!



The location was perfect, good food and facilities, nice piece of water and I liked my home for the weekend.



Massimo's casting was simply superb, which made it so much clearer to see what you were trying to achieve from the demos and lessons!



The river location was great for this type of event.



Everybody enjoyed some great one to one lessons.









I'm not sure if Philip expected such sharp loops from his pupil, her casting improved dramatically throughout the day!



Beards are of course ....... a very important part of any fly fisher's kit



One or two of the Italian instructors didn't speak much English, but I understood everything they showed me with their enthusiasm



Putting the fly under the trees, where the fish are ..... Trout live in trees!



Even if you have been fishing for 40 odd years ....... there is always something new and interesting to learn!
Thank you for an awesome weekend, I would certainly come again

Basically a wooden tent with one double and two single beds in it Marc, these things are a great idea and very economical too
