A 5. It's difficult to say as it depends how and what you intend to fish.

A 5wt rod is the best way to go for the Don :z16 Length depends on personal preference :X2

I started on a 5, went to a 3 and now settled on a tippy 4 weight. However, I use it with Mikes SLX which gives it the oooomph to fish most conditions.

I cast a 9' 5wt GR10 a couple of week's ago. Hated the aesthetics, but damn, that was a nice rod for the money. Think it was a Greys Platinum Line on the reel.
