There were a few nice fish about once we found them, you just had to walk and explore the day's conditions

I'm still buzzing, Its taken me 28 years to catch a Don 4lbr on the fly and now i've had 2 in the last 3 weeks :z3
All the hints and tips are paying off, now i've found the discipline and patience to use them :z7

Great fish Sandy! Really looking forward to next week on the upper river now. Very interested in the glass rods, who makes those? I'll be fishing a mixture of cane (the new - that's new to me-  8' spliced Sharpes), my old (very) trusty Sage carbon and a small Hardy glass.

Hi Colin

They are Epic Blanks from New Zealand, i love them :z12 To see what we have been doing with them look at this one.
http://www.fishingthefly.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=6027.0

We don't have any in stock at the moment, but i may be building them in small numbers in the future, so will probably have some at some point :z16

You should have a good week on the river, if you actively take the time to seek out the fish, they are proving elusive, but where you find one, there seem to be a few :z18

Tight lines
