Fly Tying Meetings?
« on: 19/11/2013 at 21:18 »
Will there be any fly tying meetings happening this winter?

Are the meetings open to more members, if so have we got any information for folk that might like to attend?

Cheers

hi Mike

I'm summarising some info from the ADAA forum, though the club isn't run by ADAA, just by local anglers

Quote
The fly tying class will start again on the 1st Thursday in October.
Mastrick Community Centre, 7 - 9pm.

The cost is 2 quid a night, first night free.
The interested parties can turn up with or without their gear on the first night for a taster.
The regulars take a vice, some sort of light and materials and tools to tie flies.
The club usually agrees what is to be tied on the following week with an view that the members take along the appropriate materials.
If the parties are keen to learn they will do well here.

I would be intrested in any tying demos in the area!
Be nice to even have an event held by forum members ???
Say maybe someone tying river dries, someone else doing loch style wets and another doing stillwater pappterns!
