It's mental! Was on a lunchtime run today against the clock and I scared myself at times. Bearing in mind I drive a Quattro that I've always considered a road holder, aquaplaning to say the least!
Ben, the orvis shop is like a confessional, right?  :X1 :z18

Spill the beans Trig.

Ref the water height, nip a spilt shot 6 - 8" above the fly and you'll be fine.

Things just get worse, won't even get a cast at a Salmon tomorrow afternoon.

Might just have to go to Morrisons' fish counter and stare at the fish  :cry

I've been invited to Park South on Monday. Park was showing 8ft 8inches on the gauge and rising!

You're right about Tomorrow being a washout Iain, I'm just hoping Monday isn't a washout too!

Interesting drive back from darkest East of England yesterday.
Every river I crossed after Glasgow seemed to be huge and in particular the Tummel was bigger and browner than I can ever recall seeing before in my travels  :shock

Saying that the roads were fine until I hit the Beauly road coming out of Inverness. This was flooded - badly - at Inchmore and the diversion which (handily) wasn't sign posted was also in chaos due to some wee boy racer type idiot in a Renault Clio Cup getting it all very wrong on a sharp right hand corner. Served the silly little fokker right.

So the usual 15 minute run from Inverness home ended up taking nearer 50 minutes. Joy.

Still, could be worse. It could be raining this morning. Oh, it is. Ah well, better get on with building that Ark then.

Dude, if the water reaches your house then expect to see Kevin Costner passing your window.
And remember the animals went in two by two, so you'd have to take BOTH cats....

Glad you made it home. Lots of boy racers and salesmen wishing they had stayed at home yesterday down here too. One Vectra in front of one of my neighbours did 3 360s before having a meeting with the Armco. Guy thought he could do 90 through standing water.  :X1
