Fishing The Fly Scotland Forum

Is the weather going to turn the corner in the coming week after a dismal six days of wind and rain which restricted the angler numbers and the catches recorded. Yesterday (Saturday) was a much improved situation although the fish were still slow to take with the inevitable lure being the best catching method. Naturally the temperature is forecast to rise in the coming week although somewhat more slowly in our area but hopefully we can see a return to surface activity.

Whilst most anglers contacted fish in the past week the best catches fell to:

A Murray, Gardenstown, 28 fish, (White/Orange Fritz), T Wright, Buckie, 19 fish, (Black Spider), N Thomson, Turriff, 10 fish, (Buzzers).

All the above anglers recorded fish in the 5-7lb range.

Delgatie Castle is a Troutmaster water and is open seven days from 8:00am til 8:00pm til 31/5/12 and thereafter the fishery will be open until 10:00pm to encourage evening sessions. Booking is not necessary and learners and visitors are welcome.

Boats, rods and tackle is available for hire and further information can be had by phoning Bob on 07980 999 006. :z15
