Just glad he was rescued in time
It's to be confirmed but a colleague tells me he was in a "floating chair" of some kind    Methinks float tube, anyone know better :?:

The chap in question is a friend of mine who will be opening a new fishery near Elgin, but perhaps not quite as soon as he would have hoped.

With a colleague and both in float tubes, he was attempting to remove the top 8 inches of the loch outlet pipe to lower the water level, but it was stuck.   He did eventually manage to remove it, but complete with the lower section!    The suction was so great that it literally sucked his leg into the pipe.   Fortunately for him, he could keep his head above water, but they had to remove part of the top of the bank to allow the water to escape in order the extracate him.   After speaking to him today he is well, although a bit bruised.

It could have had tragic consequences and he considers himself a lucky man.
