Outcasts Highland Fling 2012
« on: 02/12/2011 at 00:40 »
I know it seems a wee bit early to be talking about this, but I'm keen to start sorting it out as I have to start booking leave for next year already and what with various Game Fairs, exams, fishing holidays, fishing trips and trying to fit a holiday in with the good lady wife it (selfishly) makes sense to start planning this now :z17

The 2012 Highland Fling will again be based from my gaff near Beauly and will take in two or three lochs not covered in 2011. Entirely different lochs, in fact  A float tube will be necessary for one of the lochs as there's not a boat on it (that can easily be accessed) and there's no bank fishing. The other 'main' loch I have in mind is boat only, but I'm working on float tube access and there's a third loch in reserve.

We weren't blessed with the best of weather in 2011 and I'm hoping we'll do better in 2012. Myself included I want to limit it to 8 folk as I think that worked for numbers, so seven spaces up for grabs and those who came in 2011 have 'dibs' for 2012. There will be plenty of food, beer, wine, fly tying and doubtless some casting at stupid times of the night.

Should be good   If the idea floats yer tube please reply to the thread and/or send me a PM.

OK folks,  I appreciate that the dates have been a long time coming...... but lots to do and so little time etc etc.

The dates for this years event are 17th to the 19th of August inclusive.
These are the only dates that 'work' for us.

I have some different venues in mind for this year too  With luck, we will have better weather than in 2011 :!
