im a happy lad as caught my first grilse...
this is also my first fish off the Ugie this year after alot od sea trout fishing last month and many a late night..
Im afraid it was on a spinner though even though ive been fly fishing most days ive been home.. took a exploration day with the spinner rod and a flying c and wandered right up the river.. had 1 Sea trout on and lost it at net and was totally gutted. then about 30min later hooked into the attached and was so glad to get it in the net.
been out today early doors but nothing showing at all.. water level is very low and very clear.
ive got another 3 weeks so hears hoping ill get another bite but this time on the fly.
