Very nice photos.

I can remember many an opening day on the Don looking like this in years gone by.
Can't believe some of us actually used to fish in these conditions.We must have been crazy!!

Have you tried pouring a kettle of hot water on the ice at Haddo...it might just work

Just caught the tail end of the Grampian news , heard something like opening ceremony of the Salmon season cancelled in the interests of Safety , not the Don was it ? anyone see the full piece ?

It is the Spey opening ceremony at Aberlour which has been cancelled.
