OK guys since we are in for an Arctic blast and I always find this time of year depressing , I though of lightening the mood by testing the waters to see who is interested in a forum outing to Loch Beannie later in the year.
Loch Beannie is a small loch a 45 minutes (less for the fitter younger dudes ) walk into the hills just south of the Spittal of Glenshee, its a shallow Limestone loch which is unusual for this part of the country , it fishes well from the bank , there is one boat available , for the more fit its not a bad walk in carrying the tube. The Loch fishes better later in the season , so I though June would be best , Lets have a vote to decide a date , Saturday or Sunday or even a week day. Its £10 for the day or £35 for a season ticket (or it was last year)
I reckon 10 or so rods would not be a problem.
This was one of my outings last year , lovely fat butterball trout
