New World Record Grayling!!!

Woohoo, its been confirmed, Peter Cockwill now holds the world record for Arctic Grayling at 5lb 1 oz.

He took the fish in alaska and it looka a real stunner!

PS: Isn't it interesting to see the bottom half of the tail on this wild fish, folk frequently associate tails like this with stocked rainbows. I have caught wild browns that have damaged their tails like this too.

That fish was estimated at 35 years old. I guess living in a fast flowing river and caught around spawning time would contribute to the damage.

If only we had fish like that in the Don ;)
