The hackle is Keough Hen Neck Black (from Orvis) & the cheeks are turall lime green floss (which I use as a tag or thorax on my standard black and green buzzers.

I do like this type of fly though, will have to tie a few variations.

Cool ..... and these flies that you are tying on curved buzzer hooks will look equally good on straight hooks :z17

Mike, these are tied on size 12 B100's - looking at them they are bordering on the big for me so for sure I'd be happier on size 14's.

I just wonder if they will look as good on a straight hook? guess I'll try one and see.
