Orvis sale
« on: 17/09/2008 at 12:48 »
Something Rob mentioned in another post got me thinking about something I should have mentioned before - blame senility on my part  :oops

There's an end of season sale on at Orvis at the moment and some good discounts to be had on a wide range of stock.

Worth popping by the Banchory store (if you do, tell Ben or Dave that I sent you :wink) to see what's on offer or for a pretty full listing of sale prices have a look at http://www.orvis.co.uk/store/shop.aspx?dir_id=563&shop_id=412

However, if you should happen to find yourself in the Banchory store (hint) there are some other goodies available locally at a discount. Futhermore if you are a CSSC or ADAA member, or indeed a member of this forum, mention this when you are in the shop (hint) and you might get a nice surprise  :wink

Take the hints for what they are :z17 :z17 :z17 :z17 :z17

Yes, bargains can be had.  A couple of years ago I got about 40% off a pair of Orvis breathable waders.  They come in more sizes than you can shake a stick at and so far they continue to be one of my best angling purchases.

On the way back from the dentist today (and to make myself feel better) I picked up a couple of things myself in the sale today

One thing that caught my eye were the local sale items like the ex-demo rods on the clearance shelf which might peak someones attention:

Clearwater Spey 14ft #9/10 wt reduced to £99 (The sale price on a new one is £180 - so that's a big saving :!)
Clearwater Spey 15ft #10/11wt reduced to £105

Orvis Type II Spey lines are £29 down from £49.50 - much cheapness.

TLS Power mmatrix single handers:
9'6" Tip Flex 4 piece #6wt @ £120
9' Tip Flex 4 piece #6wt @ £115

Probably some other goodies too, but my time was limited today - injection from the dentist is wearing off  :cry

I got a chest pack for Pike/Saltwater clamberings...£69 to £29..perfect for a days fishing with large fly boxes and wallets that dont fit in a waistcoat. (Fly wallets that is..no my wallet..which gets lighter every trip!)
