The Feugh just now
« on: 11/08/2008 at 12:07 »
Well, had a wander to the falls on Sunday..OMG!!!  :shock :shock Never seen it so high and the noise was deafening!! The Dee itself was up, but the Feugh looked like it had had a hell of a lot more rain than the main river. I have a video on my phone but cant find the cable to download!

There where fish attempting to get upo, some pretty decent Salmon, I guess arounf the 15 - 18 pound mark, but they where getting really battered about. I would say that if anyone could get on the Feught today or over the next few days it could be interesting!!

Might try to have a run up for a look.

I`ve always fancied a cast on the Feugh, how do you go about getting a permit and what are the prices like?

Water had dropped right down last night..loads of fish running :)

Heughhead fishings have a stretch up river a bit...details from the Orvis shop in Banchory...I think it was about £25 for salmon a day with half day tickets available.
