With fish almost constantly rising, anglers have had some good sport at Artloch this past week. A wide range of traditionals and naturals have continued to tempt the majority of fish, but lures have again showed that the fish are sensing the end of summer and feeding up for the forthcoming winter. Once again some good sized grown own bows have been seen and caught.

Baskets included I Sutherland with bags of 12 and 16, best at 5 lbs, using dries and buzzers, W Rainnie and G Geddes with 10, best at 4 lbs, using WSW and various other flies, P Guy and J Eva with 14, best at 5 lbs, using Diawl Bach and PTN Another angler using a Diawl Bach was D Phillips who tempted 17, including a brace at 6 lbs and 8 lbs. D Limond and K Hall also tempted 17, best at 8lbs, using various lures and an Olive Alex, while A Burnett, had 18, best at 5 1/2 lbs, again on an Olive Alex. R Ewen was top rod with 28, using nymphs and traditional flies including a brace of double figure fish, while A Weir weighed the heaviest at 11 lbs from a buzzer.
