"Brothers in Petrus"
With "Lochstyle" on my mind for later this year, and the frozen waters at this moment, I spend some time behind the vice and made a few Wet Mayflies.

rather then buy yet more materials i thought i would try with some of the coloured teal flank feather i have. This one is the chartreuse version from last night. Lots more exciting colours to try too . I should say there are not many materials. Pheasant tail, chartreuse wire, mirage tinsel, chartreuse badger hackle and teal :-)

nice tie, I use the Irish Octopus patterns, seem to work well on our local lochs, easgach 1

Nice one James!! :z16
Teal as well as Mallard flank feathers are working (and looking) fine on wet Mayfly patterns.
"The Gosling" is such a pattern with Mallard flank as topping feather!

Nice, I like the Gosling as I used to tie them for my Dad who swore by them for pretty much everything that swims.
I've not dressed the body with a palmered hackle though, it looks interesting and subtly different :z16

I think I'll tie up some goslings 😀

i was fishing with flies like this last year and I was slaughtering the fish. I think it was called a professor or a bumble I think. Anyway I'm sure it will do the business 😉
